How to get containing unit reference for generic type instance?

Only nominal types are contained inside types and namespaces. Structural types, such as arrays and generic instances are not contained anywhere.

Another thing, I have some type inherited from SpecializedNestedNonGenericTypeReference. How can I detect unit where the base class was defined?

Specialized nested types have a property called UnspecializedVersion, which you can feed into TypeHelper.GetDefininingUnit.
